Be part of governance at UFV.
The Secretariat office is calling for nominations for student positions on the Senate and Board of Governors, for a one-year term running from Aug 1, 2025 to July 31, 2026.
Four Senate positions are open. The Senate is the senior academic governing body at UFV, setting policies and procedures concerning educational matters, and acting as an advisor to inform decisions made by the university board.
Senate members are expected to represent the Senate on at least two Senate standing committees.
The Senate typically meets once each month at 1:30 pm on Friday of the third week in the UFV meeting schedule.
There are also two positions open for the Board of Governors, which oversees management, administration, and control of the property, revenue, business, and affairs of the university. For further information on board membership and its responsibilities, please follow this link.
If you are interested in being a student member on the Senate or Board of Governors, please complete the nomination form on the Secretariat webpage before the deadline of Feb 2 at 4 pm. Late nominations will not be accepted.
If more than one nomination is received for a position, an election will follow.
