The AgriCULTURE! Symposium is an interactive panel discussion on Thursday, Sept. 19 from 10 am to 2pm. Explore how connections between culture and agriculture take shape in Abbotsford! After the panel discussion, attendees are welcome to remain on campus to enjoy a number of additional Symposium components, including exploration of Dr. Superle’s Food Museum, a scavenger hunt, and more.
During this event, attendees will be immersed in one of the core principles at play in the world of food and farming: “Cultural identity and sense of place are often closely tied to landscapes and food systems” — a principle so crucial that it’s enshrined in the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization’s principles and policies.
