Cherokee and Eastern Woodlands traditional tattoos: A talk by Jerrid Lee Miller — Mar 27

UFV Library invites you to Cherokee and Eastern Woodlands traditional tattoos: A talk by Jerrid Lee Miller taking place at the UFV Abbotsford library from 1-2 pm on Mar 27.

Miller is a Cherokee Nation citizen, US Army veteran and the current Language Archivist for the Cherokee Nation Language Department. He is working in tandem with both the Cherokee Nation and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians in developing a shared digital repository that will focus on language preservation and revitalization efforts for their shared digital materials.

That’s his day job. His true passion is cultural revitalization efforts to include traditional tattooing, resurrecting dormant art practices, taking care of his family and anything Cherokee related.

We are thrilled to have Miller talk to the UFV community and hope you can join us.
