Welcome to the new academic year, UFV faculty and staff members! We want to extend a big thank you to all those who stopped by the Advancement booth. As we reflect on the spectacular afternoon we spent together at the Employee Welcome Back BBQ, we feel so much gratitude for your dedication to UFV students.
The event was nothing short of a blast, featuring a lineup of activities that kept the energy soaring high. One of the highlights was the interactive money booth. Imagine standing in a whirlwind of swirling dollars! But here’s the twist – these dollars weren’t just any currency; they were donor dollars, and you allocated these dollars to two impactful causes. A total of $358 was allocated to the UFV Staff and Faculty Bursary and a total of $642 was allocated to the UFV SUS Food Bank. Thank you to our anonymous staff donor who made this possible.
We are also excited to announce the winner of the two tickets to the Abbotsford Canucks game on Friday, October 20. Drumroll, please! Congratulations to Mark Breedveld!
But the true heart of the event was something beyond the activities and giveaways. It was a chance for us to thank each and every one of you. As supporters and donors, you are an essential thread in the tapestry of UFV’s journey.
