Phyllis Johnston joins Office of AVP Indigenous

Phyllis Johnston has joined the Office of the  AVP Indigenous office in the inaugural role of administrative assistant.  Phyllis is an Indigenous woman from the Cook’s Ferry Band.  She grew up on Kwaw-kwaw-a-pilt First Nation and currently resides in Chilliwack.  She holds an Applied Business Technology certificate from UFV and has provided administrative support to the UFV library and the Indigenous Student Centre, and served as a junior administrative assistant with Seven Generations Environmental Services in Mission.  Phyllis brings with her the knowledge of local communities, her coordination skills for working with Knowledge Keepers, and her own cultural teachings from her lived experiences.  Please join us in welcoming Phyllis to the AVP Indigenous Office.
