Symposium on decolonizing research — Nov 17

UFV’s Centre for Global Development, in partnership with Community-Based Research Canada, presents: ‘Symposium on decolonizing research: Participatory and community-based approaches.’

Using a conversation café model, participants will exchange ideas and experiences on how to contribute to the decolonization of knowledge, and generate action for social change. Participants will also learn about innovative, community-engaged research methods.

Co-generated ideas from this symposium will be critical inputs for the formulation of a university-wide decolonization of research toolkit and web-based resources.

Please note, this will be the first of several opportunities for inputs and discussion for the Research Office’s decolonizing research toolkit and online web resources. This first event will focus on participatory and community-based approaches.

Registration required. Light refreshments provided.
