Provost’s Lunch and Learn: Trans People Welcome — Creating Visibility & More Equitable Spaces

Provost’s Lunch and Learn: Trans People Welcome — Creating Visibility & More Equitable Spaces

As part of implementing UFV’s integrated strategic plan: IYAQÁWTXW: House of Transformation, and funded by the Provost’s Strategic Initiatives Fund, UFV will be installing on-campus signage to welcome and include trans people in gendered washrooms on campus. Building on previous on-campus work that designated Washrooms for Everyone in individual washrooms, the Trans People Welcome project adds additional visibility by creating welcoming signposting for the gendered multi-stall washrooms on campus. Join us at the April Lunch and Learn with the Provost’s office for a 90-minute presentation and workshop with Kai Scott from TransFocus Consulting to learn more about the need and importance of this initiative in creating safer and more inclusive and equitable spaces on campus for trans and gender-diverse students, faculty, and staff, and the UFV community.
