With masks remaining a part of our everyday lives for the foreseeable future, we wanted to do our part to combat the resulting waste. Eleven UFV departments are sponsoring a total of 14 mask recycling boxes that will be available at both the Abbotsford and Chilliwack campuses.
The boxes are for disposable masks only (e.g. N95 and surgical masks), and with the initial boxes, we can prevent over 22,000 masks from entering our landfills and the environment around us.
