Robbyn Bennett (MA, RCC) has joined UFV in a new position on the Vice President Students team, as the inaugural Director, Counselling and Student Wellness.
This position is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction on student wellness programming and services, advancing a vision of holistic student wellness across the institution, which meets the needs and experiences of a diverse student body. The director will manage the day-to-day operations of all aspects of counselling services and coordinate wellness activities across a range of units.
Most recently at BCIT as Associate Director, Student Life, Robbyn brings knowledge, skills, and experience ideally suited to leading the Counselling and Student Wellness unit. With an educational background in counselling psychology and experience as a clinical practitioner, Robbyn also has 10+ years experience in administration and leadership in community health and support services, mental health services, and disability services, as well as within post-secondary. Within the post-secondary sector, she has experience managing and leading student mental health and wellness; disability services; student access and academic supports; student and judicial affairs; research services and ethics; behavioural and crisis intervention; and more.
