BlueJeans is retiring as of March 31

Zoom video conferencing is now available for all UFV faculty and staff and is replacing BlueJeans as UFV’s web-conferencing service provider. Zoom is a secure video-conferencing platform that allows participants to collaborate, share screens, and conduct group activities from nearly any device.

BlueJeans will be available until March 31, 2021, to allow for proper transition. If you have not already created a Zoom account and transitioned your meetings over to Zoom, you will need to complete this prior to March 31, 2021 to avoid any interruptions. This advance notice is to provide an opportunity for any transition activities needed in advance of the Winter semester 2021 start.

What do I need to do?

• Activate your Zoom account today by visiting https://www.ufv.ca/ocio/project-updates/zoom/
• Cancel any recurring BlueJeans meetings and reschedule with Zoom
• Download any meeting recordings that you would like to save to your computer. BlueJeans has provided an instructional guide to demonstrate the process.
• You will not be able to access BlueJeans after Mar 31, 2021
