The ShakeOut BC earthquake drill takes place across the province at 10:15am on Thursday, October 15 and UFV will be participating. This emergency drill should be practiced in a COVID-safe way wherever you are, offsite or on campus.
UFV Alert, the system that delivers important emergency information during a crisis, will be activated. You will receive a text on your mobile phone provided you have registered at any time with UFV Alert.

During ShakeOut participants should:
- Drop to the ground
- Cover under a table or desk
- Hold On for 60 seconds
UFV campuses will not be evacuated during the drill.
