Although UFV Libraries in Abbotsford & Chilliwack remain closed due to COVID-19, the Library is offering Select & Collect, a curbside-like pickup service for students, employees, and alumni. Initially this service will only be available at the Abbotsford campus library, four days/week, Monday-Thursday, 12-4 pm (excluding holidays).
To start, books from the Abbotsford campus library, including English language learning books, just-received books, and books that are in process, are available. Teacher education students and faculty may request Curriculum items and library staff will review these requests. DVDs are not available through this service, but faculty may request DVDs by emailing circabb@ufv.ca.
How it works:
* Place a hold on the library items you want and wait for an email from the library, telling you your items are ready for pickup.
*Visit the Abbotsford library during service hours, Monday-Thursday, 12-4 pm, (excluding holidays). Bring your employee card, alumni card, campus card, or government-issued photo ID.
*Approach the library doors and wait at the floor markers. The library doors will be locked and you will not be permitted beyond the pick-up area outside the library doors.
* Phone 604-854-4545 and let us know that you are here to pick up your items.
Please note that you will actually have to enter a building to pick up your items. Signs and floor markings will help ensure a safe experience for library staff and users. Please comply with all signs and directions from library staff.
