Talking about Teaching — Brainstorming for online teaching: assignments and other assessments — June 18

*OPEN TO ALL FACULTY MEMBERS IN THE COLLEGE OF ARTS.

Brainstorming for online teaching: assignments and other assessments

Please join us for one or both of our spring Talking about Teaching sessions, in which we will brainstorm around how to best teach online in a manner that suits you.

Our focus in this session will primarily be on assignments and other methods of assessments in online courses. Assignments for online courses often serve the purpose of keeping students engaged in course material and assessing how well they have learned the course materials. From this, a number of challenges and questions arise: How many assignments should I give? What type of assignments? How can I reduce academic misconduct issues? How can I keep my marking to a manageable load?

Bring your questions and suggestions related to any and all of these issues, as well as any other questions you have about online teaching, to this session.
