Panel on Anti-Racism — June 18

UFV’s Race and Anti-Racism Network (@ufvran) in partnership with the Poetic Justice Foundation (@PoeticJFdn) invite you to a panel discussion and dialogue on Anti-Racism. With the rise in anti-Chinese violence in Canada and a continual lack of acknowledgement of Canada’s own racist past and present and the protests of revolution taking place in the US, we wish to address the deep-seeded systemic racism that exists, but also look to solutions and how we can work towards an anti-racist frame across many sectors – journalism, activism, education, and much more. Our panelists each provide their own unique experiences and viewpoints and we look forward to an engaging and honest dialogue with our attendees. This dialogue will be moderated by Sharanjit Kaur Sandhra (@SharnFTC) and Ian Rocksborough-Smith (@smi_ian), co-chairs of the Race and Anti-Racism Network at UFV.
