The College of Arts Dean’s Office has hired a new Curriculum and Student Learning Assistant

The College of Arts would like to officially welcome Jennifer Browne as the new Curriculum and Student Learning Assistant in the Dean’s Office.

In this role, Jennifer will be responsible for the coordination and facilitation of workflow related to the review and approval of curriculum and student learning opportunities, as well as special programming, projects and events. She will also provide administrative assistance to the College of Arts Council (CAC), the College of Arts Curriculum Committee (CACC), Indigenous Studies Curriculum Committee (ISCC), special project committees, task forces, and additional subcommittees.

Jennifer comes to us from the Communications Department as a Department Assistant. In this position, Jennifer proactively and seamlessly streamlined processes and systems improving their effectiveness for students and faculty within and beyond the department. Prior to this, Jennifer assisted with event planning and promotions for University Relations Ceremonies and Events Office and the President’s Office.

Alongside her work at UFV, Jennifer is also responsible for the planning and management of the annual Surrey International Writers’ Conference. As well, she is a published author (authoring six non-fiction books), freelance writer and editor. Fun fact: Jennifer once appeared on Citytv’s Breakfast Television to discuss one of her books: Vegetarian Comfort Foods.
