Online: Student Support Session — Mindfulness: Developing Calm Through the Body

In addition to the health concerns associated with the  COVD-19 virus, the stress and uncertainty at this time can feel heavy and overwhelming. Many of us are practising social distancing or isolation, making it more important than ever to maintain a sense of community in creative ways. In order to provide some support to our student community, the Student Support Centre will be hosting a twice weekly drop-in session online. During these sessions, Student Support Coordinators will offer support, answer questions, connect students to resources and share tips for getting through this challenging time. Guests from other UFV departments, such as Counselling and the Academic Success Centre, will host portions to provide department specific content that you want to know. Topics will change weekly and can be found on https://ufv.campuslabs.ca/engage/ or UFV Student Life Facebook Page.

These free sessions will take place every Tuesday and Thursday from noon–1 pm on the video chat service Bluejeans.

Students can join us on their phones or computers by simply clicking this link: https://bcnet.bluejeans.com/189036511
