Altars & Avenues Creative Writing Workshop

This workshop will focus on creating new writing in a generative and exploratory atmosphere for writers of all interests and levels. This workshop is an open invitation to anyone curious about writing in a setting that draws on creation, experimentation and sharing. Come prepared to write your heart out and learn about the many ways creative writing can be!

We will work through on-the-spot writing exercises and prompts to jolt us out of our habits and cultivate new and unique directions. We’ll connect over what inspires and frustrates us in the process. We’ll read aloud writing that moves us and work through those connections in writing.

Please bring paper, writing utensils, poems and sections of prose by authors who inspire you (to read aloud), and beloved objects for a communal altar.

This workshop is open to anyone!
