Candlelight Vigil — National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women

On December 6, 1989, 14 women lost their lives at École Polytechnique de Montreal because they were women studying engineering.

This year is the 30th anniversary of the massacre.

Over the past 30 years, the statistics have shown that the number of women facing gender-based violence has risen, rather than declined. More than that, the age of the women has also expanded, as both younger and older women are being affected.

Please join us as we remember these 14 women at UFV’s annual candlelit vigil.
