UFV is proud to stage a Climate Change Theatre Action, a worldwide series of readings and performances of short five-minute climate change plays presented biennially with the United Nations COP meetings. As global leaders are meeting at the Climate Change Conference, we invite you to join us in using theatre to engage and discuss our changing climate locally. If you are excited about socially engaged theatre, concerned about the climate, or enjoy meeting new members of the community, this event is for you!
Our CCTA will take place on Dec 13 in B101. We will meet at 1, rehearse in small groups from 2-3:30, and then perform the readings at 4 pm. The reading will be followed with a “talk forward” between participants, members of the audience, and invited responders. All students, faculty, and community members are invited to participate or attend, regardless of theatrical experience.
To find out more information, stop by an info session on November 27 from 12-1 or December 3 from 2:30-4 in Room D105 with Kim Richards (Kimberly.richards@ufv.ca). To sign up as actors or directors, email Leigh Kerr (Leigh.Kerr@ufv.ca).
