International Day of Action Against Contract Cheating — Oct 16

What is “contract cheating”?
“The term contract cheating describes the form of academic dishonesty where students get academic work completed on their behalf, which they then submit for academic credit as if they had created it themselves.” www.contractcheating.com

What is the International Day of Action Against Contract Cheating?
The International Center for Academic Integrity (www.academicintegrity.org) brings together academic institutions from all over the world to provide webinars, discussions, resources, contests, and more to help students, faculty, and staff understand, avoid, and prevent contract cheating.

What is UFV doing on October 16, 2019 to be part of this day?
The Academic Success Centre has registered UFV to be an official participant in the international event. We will have a display of resources and information about academic integrity generally and contract cheating specifically. Please join us in G126 in Abbotsford or A1212 at CEP. You’ll have an opportunity to make a “whiteboard pledge” and enter a contest. Students, Faculty, and Staff are all encouraged to participate.
