Parking and access alerts — Abbotsford Building Renewal Project

The next phase of UFV’s Building Renewal Project on the Abbotsford campus begins Monday, Sept 30.

While the timing and type of work have been scheduled to minimize inconvenience, door access from the east side of Building A will be closed for a short period and some construction noise will occur.

What is happening?

Mon, Sept 30–Wed, Oct 2

Access to Parking Lot 7 will be via McKenzie Road only and access to Parking Lot 6 via King Rd only. Flaggers will be on scene as construction materials delivered between 7–9 am.

Tues, Oct 1–Wed, Oct 2

Solid fencing installed around perimeter of Building A-East. Also, scaffolding installation from ground floor to top of Building A-East.

Tues, Oct 1–Wed, Oct 2

Doors to A-East (end of corridor, near Lot 7) intermittently closed while protective access tunnels installed. This door will strictly open to allow emergency exit only.

What do I need to do?

Allow extra time for parking and access to Building A in Abbotsford on the above days. If you know of anyone who regularly parks in Lot 6 or 7 between 7–9 am Monday through Wednesday, you may want to inform them of access restrictions. This information is also available via myUFV.
