Scholarly Sharing Initiative: “The United Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), Indigenization, and Reconciliation”

The Truth and Reconciliation Commission Report repeatedly cites the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP). How is the UNDRIP relevant to Reconciliation in Canada, and how is it relevant to teaching and scholarship at UFV? Please come start off the Scholarly Sharing Initiative year with a workshop-discussion about the UNDRIP, with Shirley Hardman, UFV’s Senior Advisor on Indigenous Affairs. The SSI (Scholarly Sharing Initiative) is a series of monthly gatherings where members of the UFV community discuss their current scholarly work. Delicious light lunch and coffee are provided.
