The Holocaust, Memory & Canada Today — exhibit and panel — Jan 24

You are invited to UFV History department Photo Exhibit titled, “The Holocaust, Memory & Canada Today” in partnership with University of the Fraser Valley – UFV International.

In May, 2017, fourteen people from the UFV community participated in a study tour of Holocaust history, focusing on historical sites associated with the planning and implementation of the Nazi system of incarceration, forced labour, and extermination of their political and racial enemies.
Through visiting these sites and interacting with tour guides and locals, tour participants encountered the living aspect of history, and how two neighboring European nations view and often utilize history in the present context.

Wed, Jan 24

The event will begin with a panel discussion composed of four students who participated in the study tour and faculty members. The panel discussion will begin at 3:30-5 pm in B121. Refreshments will be provided.

Once the panel discussion has been concluded, you are invited to view the Photo Exhibition in UFV International Global Lounge, (B223) around 5-6 pm.
