Free support for students at PRLC! Let your students know

‘Tis the season for midterms & group projects! Let your stressed-out students know about the PRLC.

Tell students to pop by and say hi to our peer leaders at the Peer Resource & Leadership Centre (PRLC). Our peer leaders are student volunteers who are available to listen to whatever is going on in a student’s life and support them with additional resources if they need them. They don’t offer advice – they are trained to listen, support, and refer, and are well versed in UFV services and resources. Peer leaders act as lay counsellors and can help students who might be waiting for a counselling appointment or are too intimidated to ask for one in the first place.

We are available on a drop-in basis and have a quiet lounge for private chats – we’ve nicknamed it the Zen Den for a reason! Let us make your students a cup of tea and help them navigate the world that is university.

We are located in the Student Life area of the Student Union Building in Abbotsford (S1111) and our hours are:
Monday: 9 am–5 pm
Tuesday to Thursday: 9 am–6 pm
Friday 9 am–1 pm

If you are looking for more information about what the PRLC offers for students, please take a look at our website (www.ufv.ca/prlc), follow us on Facebook and Instagram (@ufvprlc), or send an email to Ashley Hayes, the PRLC Coordinator (ashley.hayes@ufv.ca). She would be more than happy to give you a tour of the space and answer any questions you might have!
