The Bachelor of Business Administration Human Resources major has recently been accredited by the Chartered Professionals in Human Resources of British Columbia & Yukon (CPHR BC &YK). This means that graduates of UFV’s HR major who meet the eligibility criteria have the option to be exempt from writing the National Knowledge Exam component of obtaining their CPHR designation, which is a nationally recognized achievement in the field of human resources. To be exempt, students must complete the HR major with at least a B- (70%) average in their BBA program and maintain two consecutive years of student membership in CPHR BC & YK. That means students who are graduating in June 2019 and who join CPHR BC this September will be eligible for exemption. Students who join now and graduate in June 2018 will be grandfathered into the program and also eligible. Students who have graduated in June 2017 can contact CPHR BC & YK and may gain exemption on a case by case basis.
