Congratulations to Nicole Davidson, Geniel Doblados, Jonathan Lim-Bentley, Jade Savjord, Marlowe Ferris and Gelaine Doblados, students of UFV’s Mandarin 101 class who participated in the fifth annual BC Chinese Bridge Mandarin singing contest, held at UBC. Universities from all over the lower mainland were invited to participate in the contest created to stimulate students’ enthusiasm for Chinese learning. UFV’s Mandarin Professor Huifang Qiao led the six students all the way to the final round of the singing contest. Their excellent performance earned them third place in the prestigious competition.
