Hope Centre hosted a Study Skills Challenge for the Fall 2016 semester where students could win weekly prizes for participating and a chance at the grand prize (a stack of gift cards to Hope retailers) for most overall points. To accrue points, students planned their semester homework schedules, demonstrated great attendance rates, took in motivational content, and stayed on track with assignments. Weekly prizes were given out and the challenge will wrap up with a grand prize winner celebration at semester’s end. Thank you to our prize contributors: Academic Success Centre, Faculty of Access and Continuing Education, Library, and Upgrading and University Preparation departments, as well as individual staff and faculty members. If you would like to donate a prize of any size to the Winter 2017 semester challenge (UFV logo items, motivational books, or small gift items, or gift cards) send them in interoffice mail to Hope Centre Coordinator Michelle Vandepol.
