OReg plans in the event of a full-scale postal strike

This is the OReg contingency plan in the event of a full-scale postal strike or service disruption:

Receipt of transcripts from other institutions
UFV will temporarily accept transcripts emailed directly from a pre-established institutional email address. Transcripts may also be sent directly by the institution using courier.
Official transcripts should be scanned, including the back page, and emailed to articulation@ufv.ca.
UFV will not accept transcripts that have not been sent directly from the institution.

Sending transcripts to other institutions
Within Canada: Many Canadian institutions have provided fax or email addresses to which we can send transcripts.
US or international: We have a mailing service that can be used to send official transcripts to other countries, so no special arrangements have been made.

Submission of high school transcripts
We accept transcripts emailed or faxed directly from Canadian schools, or the ministry of education in each province. We also accept the originals if brought in to our office (we will take a copy). Email to admissions@ufv.ca, or fax to 604-853-0138.
BC grade 12 students should request their transcripts be submitted electronically. To access the “Post-Secondary Selection Form” to tell the Ministry of Education that you’d like to have your grades sent to UFV, log in at www.bced.gov.bc.ca/exams/tsw/tsw/student .
For high school transcripts from outside Canada, transcripts and certificates must be official or original. Photocopies are acceptable if certified by school principal, head or registrar. Notarized copies are not acceptable. For mailing out of country transcripts, or where a fax is not an option, we recommend use of courier. Send to Admissions, 33844 Kind Road, Abbotsford, BC V2S 7M8.
No photocopies or student faxes are accepted. Find more information about official transcript guidelines at http://www.ufv.ca/admissions/admissions/.

Communication with applicants and students
Applicants receive their initial acknowledgment, including their UFV ID, to their personal email if provided in their application, and to their UFV email address. Instructions in setting up their myUFV accounts is provided.
Beyond the initial acknowledgment, all communication is sent to the UFV email address. It is essential that students or applicants set up their myUFV account and check it regularly for communications.
Final and conditional acceptance letters may be requested from OReg Abbotsford, or students may arrange for a courier service to pick them up.

Registration fees
Domestic students have the option of paying registration fees and tuition using Interac Online or online banking services, paying in person with cash or debit card. Students at a distance who are unable to use online banking can also send a cheque by courier.
International students also have the option of paying using MasterCard, Visa or American Express.

Requests for confirmation of enrollment
Students may request and print a confirmation of enrollment through their myUFV account.
