Two properties on the UFV website have undergone a facelift recently: Future Students and UFV International now feature a mobile-responsive design that will adapt to fit smaller phone and tablet screens. These sites join the Academic Calendar, Events Calendar, Alumni and Giving portals that have been updated for mobile viewing.
The number of visitors who view the UFV website on their phone is climbing: currently more than 29% of visitors use their phones to view the UFV website. An additional 5% use a tablet.
A Current Students portal is in the works, with an expected late March launch date. When this is completed, the Web team will contact individual departments to schedule a review of their sites in preparation for an update to the new mobile design.
Please note that the Internet Explorer 8 and 9 browsers do not support mobile responsive sites. To improve your viewing experience of the new sites on these older browsers, go under the Tools menu and UNCHECK Compatibility View. Or view the mobile responsive sites in a current browser of your choice.
In addition to an updated look, UFV International also has a new web address: http://international.ufv.ca
The Web team has taken every care to update links to UFV International on all UFV sites that are in myWeb. Please be advised that if you link to the UFV International site from an external site or PDF, you will need to update your links.
