The REDress Project

Red-Dress-PosterThe Visual Arts department, with the support of the Indigenous Affairs office, presents a campus-wide art installation (Oct 15-16) called the REDress Project. Inspired by the work of Winnipeg Metis artist Jaime Black, several red dresses will be installed throughout UFV campus to bring awareness to the missing and murdered Indigenous girls and women. Each dress draped across campus symbolizes a woman or girl who is no longer with us.
On October 16, from 12-1 pm, there will be an event with guest speakers, Ernie Crey, Fay Blaney and Theresa Neel at UFV’s Library Rotunda in Abbotsford. Everyone is welcome.
