UFV in photos and stories — Abbyfest, lit reading, book launch, exhibit opening

As usual, UFV was a busy place over the past few weeks. Hundreds attended Abbyfest, the multicultural community festival that was held on the Abbotsford campus for the first time. See photos. See Storify summary.

(Storify is an app that you can use to collect tweets, photos, and other social media posts about a topic or event.)

The Newman Western Canadian Cookbook collection had a successful launch as celebrants tasted samples from Good Food Tells a Story, the new UFV cookbook. See photos. See Storify summary.

The English department presented Lit Up in The Valley in partnership with Abbotsford’s Kariton House gallery. It was an evening of reflection about the writing process, capped off with readings by several UFV-connected authors.

The launch for Mis(Interpretation), an exhibit looking at Sikhism from a feminist perspective, was a well attended and successful event. See photos. See Storify summary.

And the UFV cameras caught a few images of UFV at night as summer turned into autumn.
