Does seeing all of our student heading back to school make you want to return to learning too?  Did you know you can use up to $400 of your Professional Development funding to take Continuing Education courses at UFV?

Requests for up to $400 of PD funds is done by completing the application for in-service PD, which can be found on the Human Resources web page.

Facilitators/Instructor seminars
These short seminars are designed for people who conduct workplace training, administer presentations, consultants, speakers, facilitators, and teachers. Once of the most challenging skills for facilitators/instructors is to engage the audience — these workshops will offer you some concrete skills to help raise the level of interaction with their audiences and manage resistance, off-topic discussion, and other results of lively engagement.

Seminars for Social Workers
In collaboration with UFV Continuing Education, UFV School of Social Work and Human Services is developing a series of exciting professional development workshops. Registered social workers can take these three- to six-hour workshops to fulfill BC College of Social Workers’ annual professional development requirements.

Computer Skills
Computer-based training for all levels.

Management Skills
Short course designed for working managers to develop the skills they need now! Topics include: change management, leadership, customer service, team-building, and foundations. All courses can be applied toward the Management Skills for Supervisors certificate.

Public Relations
Social media, marketing, communications, and storytelling skills are all essential in today’s organizations. Ge the skills you need to catch up, keep up, and lead!
