Dear Colleagues,
Once again on behalf of our students I am seeking your help.
As I am sure you know, June 11 and 12 are the dates for the 2015 UFV convocation ceremonies. Once again, we will host the event at the Abbotsford Centre. And once more, UFV, and especially our graduating students and their families, welcome your help making this celebration of their achievements memorable.
I’m very grateful for all the support we’ve had from so many of you previously, and hope I can count on that again. Those who volunteer as members of Team Convocation will have their regular work day reassigned to convocation duties. As in the past, we will provide food, refreshments, and a Team Convocation gift for all those who help.
The number of graduates continues to grow. This is a tribute to the outstanding work you have been doing and I am grateful for that. To address the increasing demand, however, we need to add a fourth convocation ceremony. So the need for volunteers is greater than it has ever been.
The four ceremonies are:
Thurs, June 11 at 10 am – Faculty of Professional Studies
- Thurs, June 11 at 3 pm – Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Science
- Fri, June 12 at 9 am – College of Arts (except Criminal Justice)
- Fri, June 12 at 2 pm – Criminal Justice (College of Arts), Faculty of Access and Continuing Education and Faculty of Applied and Technical Studies

Positions will be filled on a first-come basis, so don’t delay if you have a preference.
