Dr. Virginia Cooke in the 1980s.

Dr. Virginia Cooke, an associate professor of English, is retiring this summer, and UFV will lose an invaluable teacher, colleague, and mentor. There are few among us who have played so many roles so well. To recognize her many remarkable contributions, her long-time colleague and friend Cheryl Dahl is compiling a book of tributes and stories from students, colleagues and co-workers. To contribute to this gift for Virginia, please email your comments and pictures, if you have some, to Cheryl (Cheryl.dahl@ufv.ca) before May 15. Your contribution can be as simple as ‘thank you’ and as long as a page or two. Students are especially encouraged to share their thoughts, for among the many roles Virginia played at UFV, teaching has been the most important. Please take a moment to say thank you!
