Computers Need Sleep Too – Buildings A, B and D results

UFV’s Centre for Sustainability spent three evenings with the Janitorial staff throughout the last month checking computers throughout UFV to see if computers were being shut off at night.

As it turns out, UFV is doing pretty well, although some buildings were a bit more energy efficient than others.

  • Building A — 16% of the computers were on
  • Building B — 9.5% of the computers were on
  • Building D — 17.6% of the computers were on.

Although the large buildings are complete, you never know if your office might be next!

Thanks to everyone helping to reduce UFV’s energy footprint.
