Crim profs kept busy with media requests

Crim professors Yvon Dandurand and Irwin Cohen were busy over the past week with multiple media interviews about the murder of 17-year-old Serena Vermeersch and the subsequent charges against high-risk sex offender Raymond Caissie. Cohen appeared on CBC TV and Dandurand was on CBC Radio One Almanac and CKNW radio speaking about the issue of releasing people who have served their sentences but thought to be at high risk of reoffending.

Dandurand was also quoted in a Sunday Province newspaper cover story about discouraging young Canadians from joining terrorist organizations such as ISIS.
