On July 23, Pacific Berry Resource Centre director Tom Baumann was interviewed by CBC stations based in Vancouver, Vancouver Island, and the Interior/North. He detailed the progress of the berry season with 150 million pounds of blueberries expected this year in B.C., as well as the research that goes on at the PBRC and in the brand new facilities of UFV’s Agriculture department, such as new varieties testing, new species testing, bee research with Chile, berry research with Pacific Northwest groups, the work of PH.D. student Eric Gerbrandt, and much much more.
