New official undergraduate course outline form

The official undergraduate course outline form has been revised and is ready for implementation. The form has been revised to be consistent with the Undergraduate Course and Program Approval policy (21), to make improvements, to include more guidelines, and to be consistent with the BCCAT course outline form. The Official Undergraduate Cross-Listed Course Form has also been revised in the same manner as the Official Undergraduate Course Outline Form.

Two additional forms have been created that are to be used as needed. First, the supplemental texts and resource materials form is to be used if more than five texts or resource materials are to be listed for a particular course. Second, a transfer credit request form is included for course outlines requesting transfer credit, to ensure that articulation is sent to correct institutions.

The Course Outline Style Guide has been created to provide general course outline guidelines and prerequisite style guidelines.

Any course outlines that are sent to the March 28, 2014 UEC meeting should be on the new official undergraduate course outline form. This includes new courses, minor course changes, and major course changes. All of the forms and guidelines mentioned can be found on the UEC website (http://www.ufv.ca/senate/uec/uec-resources/).

If you have any questions, please send them to Ashley Hoogendoorn, UEC assistant at ashley.hoogendoorn@ufv.caa.
