Mike Twolan joins UFV as manager of security

photo_Mike_TwolanMike Twolan recently joined UFV as manager of security. Mike comes to UFV from Securigard, where he held the position of security site supervisor at Vancouver International Airport.

Mike has a strong background in security and policing. He was an RCMP officer for two decades and led an integrated team (Police, Bylaw and Fire) at the Township of Langley that was responsible for enforcing a variety of bylaws. Mike is a licensed private investigator in the province of BC.

“Mike has a great deal of experience working in dynamic and changing environments.His interpersonal skills make him a great fit with the post-secondary environment,” says Brian Leonard, UFV director of security and emergency management.

Mike holds a Law and Security diploma from Algonquin College in Ottawa.

He will have the responsibility for the day-to-day operations of Security at UFV, including administering the security contract. He can be found in office Abby B150R and can be reached at local 4520 or mike.twolan@ufv.ca.
