Are you a writer or an artist? The Louden Singletree wants you! UFV’s literary and visual arts magazine is looking for submissions and volunteers.
Submissions
If you create it, we’ll publish it (if selected by our panel). Any sort of creative writing is accepted, including short fiction, poetry, playwriting, screenwriting, prose, creative nonfiction, novel excerpts and more. We also encourage visual arts submissions — anything from drawing to painting to sculpture. The deadline is Wed, Dec 18, so you have all semester to think about what you’d like to submit! Volunteers
Once submissions are in for the season, it’s up to you, the reader, to look through them and pick the best ones! Sign up to be a reader if you’re interested in seeing the work of other students and would love to read (or look at art) over Christmas break. We’ll send you three anonymous submissions at a time, and you can view as many or as few as you like. If you think you might be interested in being on the editorial board next year, then being a reader this year is the prerequisite. We’ll have meetings with more information on Nov 13 and 14 at 4 pm in Abby B133. Show up for more information, or let us know if you can’t make it and we’ll send you everything you need.
