For Wednesday, Dec. 21, all exams — remote and face-to-face — and activities are proceeding as scheduled.
All campuses and centres (except Hope) will operate as scheduled and all services will be operational under winter weather conditions.
Environment Canada has issued an arctic outflow warning indicating very cold temperatures and arctic outflow winds.
With unusually low temperatures, please be prepared and dress for very cold weather. Warm winter clothing and footwear are essential. Please allow extra time when travelling to UFV and walking between buildings on campus.
Crews are clearing parking lots, walkways, and entrances and will monitor conditions on campuses.
UFV Safety and Security, Facilities, Student Services, Communications, and other departments continue to monitor the weather and should the situation change, UFV will update our main communication channels (UFV Alert and UFV.ca).
Please check UFV.ca for updates.
lol joke of a school, all other school moved those exams to jan
Thanks Joe,
Not really “joking” around. UFV completed the majority of exams before the snow came in, so very few exams today. We planned this buffer day before the Christmas break to allow students to write any exams that were cancelled yesterday (Tuesday, Dec 20) instead of delaying for two weeks or more. This allows students to focus on writing tests while their knowledge is fresh and focus on new classes and learning in January.
Happy holidays!
