Beginning the Journey – Insights Discovery Session
Self-Awareness is the foundation of excellent teamwork, improved communication, enhanced productivity and truly inspirational leadership. Insights can raise the level of self-awareness throughout the university and help faculty and staff re-integrate into a highly successful future.
The Insights Discovery model is a simple and accessible four-color model which, accompanied by an Insights Discovery Personal Profile, helps people to understand more about themselves and others. It creates a common language that makes it easier to identify strengths and address weaknesses, so that individuals and teams can perform at their highest level. This model provides an effective foundation for learning programs since it inspires individuals to think about how they act and communicate.
Every person has all four colour energies within them but has a natural preference for some over others which influence their motivations and behavior; it is the combination of these energies which creates each unique personality.
By understanding your own and others’ preferences better, you can take simple, practical actions that improve your everyday relationships. The Insights Discovery Profile is your guide, enabling you to take control of your own development.
In this two-hour virtual event using ‘Zoom’ technology, participants will be guided through the engaging learning content by a skill facilitator. The content covered in the session includes:
The Insights Discover model
- Perception
- The four colour energies of the model
- Jungian preferences of Introversion and Extraversion, Thinking and Feeling and Sensation and Intuition
Understanding the four color energies
- How to recognize the color energies in yourself and others
The Insights Discovery Personal Profile
- Reviewing validity and connecting with your profile
- Exploring the overview page
- Explaining the graphs and preference flow

- We want you to be fully engaged with the facilitator, your fellow learners and the material as you move through this virtual experience
- We encourage you to commit fully to your personal development by completing the self-directed learning
- A webcam is highly recommended for the virtual Introduction to Insights Discovery session
- A quiet space to connect to allow full participation and concentration is essential

Excellence
Get Organized – Time Management
“Get Organized” workshop was developed and honed through coaching hundreds of business people on how to be more effective with one of their most important commodities – time
Paradoxically, poor organizational habits are often encouraged by the same technology that was designed to make us more effective: it is not uncommon for business people to spend most of their days swamped with e-mail, meeting requests and piles of paper around the office. This typically results in a reduced ability to get work done (particularly strategic work), coupled with high levels of stress and even burnout.
This course will help participants develop superior organizational skills by providing a simple, yet effective workflow system that is integrated with standard tools and technology such as Microsoft Outlook.
Results You Can Expect
- Productivity gains of 20-80%
- Greater ability to get strategic work done
- Greater accountability and ability to meet commitments
- Reduced stress

This involves a level of self-mastery (self-awareness and self-regulation), plus social intelligence (empathy and social skill). This session will review some important strategies to help you develop your emotional intelligence
