Employee Fitness Challenge – Mocktails Anyone?

Sometimes the stress of our daily grind makes us really crave an alcoholic beverage to help us take the edge off at the end of the day, but I hope you are all incorporating other relaxation techniques into your lives this dry-February.

If you are anything like me, sometimes just the “look” of the drink is what is the most appealing. We love the fancy garnishes and bright colors and we want them to look as good as they taste! Well, believe it or not, you can accomplish that same sense of enjoyment without alcohol. Here are a couple of our favorites that we’re sure you’ll love. So light a candle, put on some soothing music, sink into a luxurious bubble bath and enjoy one of these delicious mocktails.

CHOCOLATE MOCKTINI

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cold milk
  • 1/4 cup chocolate syrup
  • 1 tbsp. simple syrup (optional)
  • Crushed ice, as needed
  • Chocolate shavings or sprinkles

Instructions

Combine milk, chocolate syrup, and crushed ice to a blender and blend until smooth. Dip the rim of your martini glass with chocolate syrup and sprinkles or shavings. Fill each glass and top with chocolate shavings or sprinkles.

KOMBUCHA MOCKTAIL

Ingredients

  • Choose your favorite flavour of kombucha
  • Pick a second flavour of kombucha
  • Sparkling water, flavoured if you want
  • Fresh juice to compliment
  • Sweetener if needed
  • Garnish to compliment

Instructions

Combine ice both kombucha flavours, sparkling water, juice, and sweetener to a glass. Garnish however you wish to compliment for flavour of your unique mocktail – be creative!
