Vaasa is located on the western coast of Finland, and the majority of the population is students. The two main languages are Finnish and Swedish, but many people speak English as well. In the center of the town, there is shopping, pubs, clubs, and restaurants all close together, making many things easy walking distance. With several universities in Vaasa, there are always events happening for students and there is always something to do. Nonetheless, nature and the archipelago are also merely a walk or a bike ride away.

From the Vaasa region and the city of Palosaari, it isn’t a long journey to the capital of Helsinki. There, students can see famous tourist attractions, and can find easy travel. By trains, airplanes or boats, students can easily travel around Finland, or to any of the other neighbouring countries in northern Europe.

Finland has a lot to offer through culture and education – so why not immerse yourself in it by studying abroad there?
