Many persons in our local and BC communities have now experienced displacement associated with global climate change in relation to the flooding, fire, and heat dome events of 2021. The PARC Community of Practice on Refugees, headed by Dr. Geetanjali Gill, is hosting a free Zoom panel discussion called ‘Climate Migrants and the Global Climate Exodus’, which among other topics will address gaps in the current Refugee Convention on this form of forced movement.
