TLC New Faculty Kickstart is for new UFV faculty (Type B, Sessional or Tenure Track), by invitation only.<\/h2>\n

New Faculty Kickstart (NFKS) is a professional development opportunity for new faculty (both permanent and sessional) to get them oriented to teaching and learning here at UFV.\u00a0 NFKS is an asynchronous course in Blackboard that covers topics such as Blackboard basics, active learning, academic integrity, Indigenization, Internationalization, learning outcomes and assessment practices.<\/p>\n

While the formal NFKS ran from 17-19 August 2021, the course remains open in Blackboard for any new faculty member to access the resources at any time. You can find the link in your Courses tab in Blackboard by searching New Faculty Kickstart 2021.<\/p>\n

The New Faculty Kickstart will be facilitated in a Hyflex model. This means that new faculty may participate asynchronously at their convenience over any of the three days, August 17th<\/sup>, 18th<\/sup> and 19th<\/sup> via Blackboard Learn (MyClass). New faculty also have two options for synchronous participation on August 18th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

On August 18th<\/sup>, from 12:30 to 4:30 you will have 2 participation options<\/p>\n
