This position may be extended or become permanent. This position is based in Smithers and provides services to Hazelton. Regular travel between the communities is required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Resource Worker $78,386.35 &#8211; $100,522.85 annually, plus $39.92 bi-weekly isolation allowance.<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Smithers Resources Team is an established, collaborative team that helps ensure children and youth in care have access to safe, stable, and culturally appropriate caregiving options.<\/p>\n<p>As a Resource Worker, you will recruit, assess, approve and support foster caregivers while helping children and youth access safe, stable, and culturally responsive care. In this role you will contribute to positive outcomes for children and youth, support caregivers, strengthen Indigenous partnerships, and help develop resources that create lasting impacts for families and communities. It offers a combination of community engagement, relationship-building, service coordination, and direct support to caregivers and resource providers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications for this role include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applicants may be considered who meet the preferred OR expanded credentials<\/p>\n<p>1. Preferred Credentials:<br \/>\n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree or higher in social work or in child &amp; youth care OR master\u2019s degree in educational counselling psychology\/Master of arts in counselling psychology with completion of a practicum in family and child welfare OR<br \/>\n\u2022 In-service Ministry of Children and Family Development employees who have a regular SPO 24-30 base position that requires delegation under the Child, Family and Community Services Act (CFCSA) OR<br \/>\n\u2022 A candidate may be considered equivalent when they are registered and a member in good standing with the BC College of Social Workers or has a letter from the College confirming that their application for registration has been approved.<\/p>\n<p>2.
