$85,563.25 – $97,633.20 annually which includes a 4 Grid Temporary Market Adjustment

The Maples Provincial Outreach Team is a dedicated group who are part of the Maples Adolescent Treatment Centre Tertiary Care program. The group brings diverse clinical expertise and works collaboratively to support children and youth with severe and enduring mental health challenges, particularly in Ministry Care, other arranged care, or at risk of entering care.

The Maples Provincial Outreach Clinician travels throughout the province to deliver direct clinical services to children, youth, families, and communities, including intake, assessment, treatment, and crisis intervention. In this role, you will assess the community capacity and work collaboratively within the complex systems of care attached to the child/youth to identify how to optimize and strengthen existing resources. By delivering trauma-informed and culturally sensitive services, you will help reduce the impact of trauma, decrease reliance on emergency interventions, and empower support networks to foster better outcomes for children and youth.

Qualifications for this role include:
• Masters in counselling, social work, educational counselling, clinical counselling, clinical psychology or child and youth care or comparable graduate degree at the master’s level in a similar subject may be considered.
• Minimum of one (1) year full-time equivalent experience working with children and youth and their families, with responsibility for providing a wide range of community based mental health services.
• Must possess and maintain a valid class 5 BC Driver’s license with no restriction.

Preference may be given to applicants with the following:
• Five (5) years or more experience working with children and youth, with moderate to severe and enduring mental health challenges, and their families.
• Experience in providing direct interventions around the trauma-based behaviors of children and youth.
• Experience providing mental health assessments and treatment in a hospital setting.
• Applicants who self-identify as First Nations, Métis or Inuit with the required combination of education and experience.
