CYMH Clinician
$85,563.25 – $97,633.20 annually which includes a 4 Grid Temporary Market Adjustment*

At the Ministry of Children and Family Development, you’ll join a supportive and experienced team of clinicians who bring diverse skills and collaborate closely to provide the best care for children and youth. Our team of five includes four Generalists, a part-time Integrated Practice Clinician and a Team Leader. You’ll also work with school staff, primary care providers and other community partners as part of an Integrated Child and Youth Care Team. As a Children and Youth Mental Health Clinician you’ll provide intake, assessment and evidence-based treatment for children and youth facing moderate to severe mental health challenges. You’ll collaborate with caregivers and other care providers to create tailored treatment plans, supporting families to reduce symptoms of mental illness and providing a positive impact on the entire community. Qualifications for this role include:
• Masters in Counselling, Social Work, Educational Counselling, Clinical Counselling, Clinical Psychology or Child and Youth Care or comparable graduate degree at the Master’s level in a similar subject may be considered.
• NOTE: If your degree was obtained outside of Canada, you need to confirm it has been assessed for equivalency through the International Credential Evaluation Services (ICES). You must provide a basic report by the closing date of this posting to be considered.
• Minimum of one year full-time equivalent experience working with children and youth and their families, with responsibility for providing a wide range of community based mental health services.
• Must possess and maintain a valid class 5 BC Driver’s license with no restriction or equivalent (i.e. from another Canadian Province).
