CYMH Clinician

$85,563.25 – $97,633.20 annually which includes a 4 Grid Temporary Market Adjustment

The North Fraser Youth Day Treatment Program (YDTP) is a community based mental health program. We work collaboratively with youth, their families, and their communities to help them build skills, maximize treatment outcomes and support their wellbeing.
The YDTP, Child and Youth Mental Health Clinicians (CYMH Clinicians) have an essential role to play. As part the multi-disciplinary team working alongside child and youth care workers, the psychiatrist, teachers and education assistants, CYHM Clinicians provide a range of mental health services to youth with complex mental health needs and their families.

Qualifications for this role include:
• Masters in counselling, social work, educational counselling, clinical counselling, clinical psychology or child and youth care or comparable graduate degree at the master’s level in a similar subject may be considered.
• Minimum of one (1) year full-time equivalent experience working with children and youth and their families, with responsibility for providing a wide range of community based mental health services.
• Must possess and maintain a valid class 5 BC Driver’s license.

Preference may be given to applicants with the following one (1) or more of the following:
• Two (2) years or more experience working with children and youth and their families, with responsibility for providing a wide range of community based mental health services with a focus on youth who experience complex mental health conditions including, but not limited to, psychotic disorders, emotional dysregulation, complex post traumatic distress, anxiety, depression and suicidal behavior.
• Experience working with parents/caregivers and adolescents.
• Experience providing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) group and/or individual therapy to youths and families who struggle with emotion dysregulation, high-risk behaviors and/or safety concerns.
• Applicants who self-identify as First Nations, Métis or Inuit with the required combination of education and experience.
